Victoria’s House is very closely aligned with the educational philosophy and approach of the Montessori Method. Our virtual learning activities are designed to include these developmental areas:
Practical life – Basic procedures, care of self, care of environment, grace & courtesy, and peace of everyday life skills
Mathematics – Numeration, place value, linear counting, and math facts
Language – Pre-reading, pre-writing, reading, and writing
Sensory – Activities to develop the senses: visual, olfactory (smell), gustatory (taste), tactile (touch), auditory, perception, and recognition
Culture – Experiences and exercises that expose your child to music, stories, artwork
Science – Experiments and hands-on exposure to understand how the world works: geography, zoology, botany, and other sciences
Our virtual resources include a real-life Victoria’s House Learning Academy kit for a full hands-on experience. You can use our programming independently or alongside your child’s current preschool experience.
We believe that it is imperative that children receive an early foundation in language, science, art, and math. Our virtual classroom is set up and prepared to promote your child’s natural curiosity and love of learning. You can expect your little one to experience that is engaging, warm, and familiar. Our lessons are designed for multi-age learning from ages 2-6.
“There are many who hold, as I do, that the most important period of life is not the age of university studies, but the first one, the period from birth to the age of six. For that is the time when man’s intelligence itself, his greatest implement, is being formed.” – Dr. Maria Montessori: The Absorbent Mind
