Victoria’s House Learning Academy exists to provide learning opportunities for preschool-age children and their parents. We recognize the huge responsibility of parenthood and all the uncertainties that come with it. Although parenting does not come with a manual, it does welcome you into a community.

Free Resources for You and Your Child

Go to the Learning Activity Menu tab on this site to access free learning activities for your infant, toddler, and preschooler! Some activities require little supervision while others provide wonderful engagement for your child and you (or care provider). The materials are designed to engage your child through as many learning channels as possible including motor skills, speech and language, cognitive and intellectual skills, and social/emotional skills.  Learning activities include:

  • Brief and easy-to-read instructions.
  • Prompts to help you engage deeply with your child’s development.
  • Language examples for you to keep activities at the right level for your child.

In-home Infant Care Support

You can have the support of an experienced infant/toddler professional. Whether you are in need of coaching or hands-on support, we are here for you. An infant care specialist will help you identify a plan for setting routines, home safety, and organization. You can also receive hands-on training for:

  • Basic infant care routines and step-by-step instructions
  • Sleep schedules
  • Feeding schedules
  • Infant development
  • Overnight care

One on One Parent Coaching

You can request to work one-on-one with an experienced parent coach. Your coach will assess your situation, help you design a step-by-step action plan, with helpful resources, and coach you through executing your plan according to your goals. We specialize in the following areas:

  • Finding quality affordable childcare in your area
  • Identifying the best childcare solution for your family
  • Managing difficult conversations with your childcare provider (while maintaining healthy working relationships)
  • Identifying childcare solutions for your  neurodiverse child

Training for Your In-Home Child Caregiver

Do you have a family member or a novice child caregiver that needs orientation, training, or support? I work with your to determine your requirements for success. We then translate those into a Caregiver Agreement and training to help make your caregiver a success for your family. This service includes:

  • Consultation to assess your needs and create an action plan
  • Training/coaching session with caregiver (SIDS prevention, daily routines, early childhood development basics)
  • Observation of your environment and consultation for your child’s development and safety
  • Caregiver agreement form and appropriate checklists
  • Announced or unannounced follow-up and observational visits.
